COVID-19 Plan
BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN
COVID 19 (Corona Virus)
The essential services industry within Australia has been presented with unusual and challenging circumstances due to the outbreak of COVID-19 across Australia.
It is critical that our clients – regardless of state or location – continue to meet their legislated obligations to ensure all sites can keep operating and their doors open.
This cannot be achieved without site visitation, so to minimise risk, we are keeping site visits to an absolute minimum and have put the following in place:
- All clients will be contacted prior to any site attendance to ensure that operating conditions are suited to an inspection and testing routine.
- Where visitation access is not available, then notes detailing fire and safety measures not tested will be raised and presented to you for further follow up and action.
- All Armidale Fire & Safety staff are diligently observing the best hygiene practices & control measures.
- All staff are monitoring their own health daily.
- Any Armidale Fire & Safety staff who are advised that they have been in contact with anyone confirmed with, or suspected to have, COVID-19 will immediately self-isolate until testing can take place, or a period of 14 days has expired.
- Any equipment required to be taken to site (e.g. mobile phones, laptops, iPads) is being wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes both before entering a site, and again on leaving a site.
- All staff will be wearing appropriate PPE when on site.
- All non-essential travel has been cancelled.
- All staff who visit aged care facilities will be following the current Government guidelines (e.g. updated influenza vaccinations from 1 May).
- Face to face contact with Armidale Fire & Safety personnel will be kept to the minimum and at all times enforce a social distancing rule as follows:
In our work we seek to assure clients and owners that their life safety measures are fit and ready for purpose, so we will carry on carefully
- Distance – 1.5m from others and an allowance of 4 sq. meter per person indoors in any space
- Hygiene – hand and equipment cleaning when entering leaving or when you touch hard surfaces
- Awareness- report any signs of illness.
The health & safety of our staff, clients and stakeholders is of utmost importance to everyone at Armidale Fire & Safety , and we have taken pro-active steps to help maintain this.
As a result, effective immediately we ensure that all our staff have:
1. applied the advice in the Australian Federal Government Department of Health fact sheets for corona virus including guidelines for employers, as the minimum level of precaution for your people who directly or indirectly perform any work on any site; and
2. will monitor the Australian Department of Health website: https://www.health.gov.au/health- topics/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov for any updates to the fact sheets and guidelines for employers and continue to follow the latest advice.
Given the importance we place on working together to effectively implement these measures we ensure all our staff & contractors are to fully up to date with all measures outlined in the Australian Federal Government Department of Health fact sheets for corona virus including ‘Information for Employers’ guidance and we require you to monitor and follow Australian Federal Government’s guidance should this change.
SAFETY FIRST.
Your safety is our number one priority, so we’ve requested that if any team member feels unwell, they should remain at home and we encourage our customers to advise if there are any concerns on sites.
